Brother
Bryan Makinson
Bryan passed away on October 20th. He
was in Bangkok, Thailand. Bryan was living in Uluwatu in Bali and loved his
life there. Below is the last picture taken of him at his home in Bali the
morning he left for Thailand. You will notice he has on his “Edson Range
Shirt.”. Bryan loved clampers and sent his father, XNGH Al Makinson, the
picture with a message to share it with the boys at the Clampout. Bryan's
family is having a goodbye celebration on November 8th at 1:00pm at the
“Martin Johnson House” at Scripps Institute of Oceanography. All are invited
and are asked that all wear casual clothes.

Brother C.O.
Shrank
Our long-time Brother C.O. (Clifford)
Shrank has made the journey to the Golden Hills.
“C.O.” Clifford Shrank passed away on Sunday, October 4th, 2009. C.O. As it
is with the so many of our Brothers who have departed for the Golden Hills,
we now have an additional empty seat in the Hall, which will be a continuing
reminder to all of us, of those Brothers who have made the journey before
us.
Brother
Peter Van Alstyne
Peter died in mid October, he had
cancer in the spine. It was over quickly. He was an active mason and
railbuff and the service was impressive by all accounts.
Brother Tim Stephen
He passed on Wednesday evening January 28 when his liver finally
quit functioning. A small funeral was held on Monday February
2nd. His widder and family have already moved and have not left
a forwarding address.
Tim's widder is Carolyn Stephen and asks that any donations be
made to the Cancer Society in Tim's name.

Verne Fleet

Brother Verne Fleet made the journey to the Golden Hills on the
evening of Thursday December 18th.
Verne was an active member of the Chapter for many years,
filling a number of staff positions from Assistant Storekeeper
to Golden Hills Master, as well as being actively involved in
the Squibob Fire Brigade.
Verne was recognized by the Chapter as Clamper of the Year for
2007 based on his many years of active participation and service
to the Chapter.

XNGH Joseph
Menser
Brother Joseph Menser went on to
the Golden Hills on November 29, 2008 at the age of 89.
Joe was the second Noble Grand Humbug in the history of John P. Squibob
Chapter #1853 (1962 and 1963).
Little other information is
available at this time, other that Greenwood Mortuary was in charge of
arrangements.
Brother Dave
Britt
Brother Dave Britt, passed on to the
Golden Hills on May 31, 2008 of pancreatic cancer. He joined the Clampers in
Lassen County, the Neversweats, in 1982 and then transferred to Squibob a
few years later.
He enjoyed Clampouts, and dedicating our various plaques. He worked on the
old plank road project in Imperial Valley. His father had come to San Diego
on that road, so he had a personal interest in that one. Dave will be
missed.
Brother Hugh
Poole
Hugh
Poole ventured to the Golden Hills this morning around 0530, November 4th,
2008.
Hugh was cremated and a memorial service
will be held on Friday November 14, 2008 @ 11:00am at the church on Orange
Ave, between 5th & 6th street in El Centro.
His daughter requested that Clampers
attending should be in their best Clamper attire.

Rich Richardson
Brothers of E Clampus Vitus
It is with a sad
heart that I must announce the passing of Brother
Rich Richardson. A long time friend for over 40
years, and a Clamper since he received the "Staff" at Borrego
Springs, California in September 1988.
Upon his retirement
from the San Diego County Sheriff's Department , Rich, his Wife
Sue and Daughter Jamie moved to the great State of Kansas. Rich
departed for the Golden Hills on
August 31, 2008. He will be deeply missed by
all who knew and loved him.
Farewell dear

Brother J.B. (Jack) Kelley
Jack's journey to the Golden Hills began Tuesday, March
23rd.
He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife Sandra, son
Clamper Brother Jack Jr., daughters Sheryl and Janie.

Jack will be missed by all who knew and loved him...
